Welcome to Music Across Texas, a division of The Foundation For Music Education. Music Across Texas offers bands, choirs, and orchestras a positive public performance opportunity, giving ensembles the chance to experience the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills in an environment that offers the perfect balance of music education and fun. This unique event offers participants the opportunity to present a public performance for an experienced music educator that will evaluate the ensemble and provide feedback. At the conclusion of the performance, the adjudicator will present a brief review to the students and director. 135 ensembles with over 5000 members participated in 2010! The Festival Price Includes:
- Outstanding, non-competitive public performance opportunity inside or adjacent to major amusement parks
- Positive and helpful feedback from an experienced adjudicator
- Maximum time in the park, low stress!
- Admission to selected entertainment venue
- High quality trophy for every performing ensemble
- An "Outstanding Section" is selected and awarded.
